Being successful in life is difficult unless you ensure you have a balanced life. To obtain the optimal benefits you must be passionate about your life plan and believe 100% in what you are doing. It is important to have an end goal firmly in your mind, a plan in place to reach the goal and steps in place to follow, which will lead to your goal. Have A Goal

Without a goal you are like a ship without a rudder, or a wind up toy spinning in circles. You are working but have no clear idea why. Spend time writing down your goals. Make short-term goals to be accomplished within a week. Perhaps your first goal will be to have a written list of goals with realistic time frames within 7 days. Have specific goals. “I want to be a rich within two years,” is not a goal it is a daydream. Step By Step - The Daily Method of Operation (DMO)

When you have your plan in place spend some time working out what your priorities are. Spend most time on what will give you the most benefit. Don’t procrastinate. Work on achieving the most difficult task first. Begin by keeping a time diary for one week. Include everything you do from the time you get out of bed, until you go back to bed. This is a difficult task and requires commitment. If you can stick to this it will pay off. How much time a week do you spend in the shower, thinking about what to do next, watching TV etc? You will be amazed at where you can save precious time when you analyze this diary. Next make a plan for your day. Enter into this everything to be achieved in the day and the time you will allow for this to happen. When you have a realistic DMO and follow it you will be amazed at how much more you will achieve in one day.

Personal Development

Jim Rohn says, “Spend more time on yourself than you do on your business.” He is right. For x amount of years you have had your current mindset and current beliefs. You have slowly been conditioned to this since you were very young. What has this given you? If you want more then you must become more. Start reading books that can stretch your mind. Put what you read into practice. Some of my favorite authors are: - Jim Rohn, Susan Jeffers, Robert Kiyosaki, Louise Hay and John Keohoe. Check these out and find others that will ’speak’ to you.

Commitment

You must believe in yourself and your ability to reach your goals. Spend time visualizing that you have already achieved these goals. Where will your home be? What will the garden look like? What clothes will you be wearing? What will you be excelling at? Imagine that it has already happened. Then work toward making it a reality. It is the daily commitment of working toward your goals that make the difference between success and failure. You can achieve anything you want to you only need to want it enough. Then you will follow your plan, refine and redevelop it until you have reached the goal. By them you will have more goals to work on.

Physical Well Being

You need enough activity to keep all your moving parts in good working order. Choose the form or exercise that suits you best. Remember to incorporate warming up and cooling down exercises to avoid pulling or straining any muscles.
Find time every day to relax. Take time out once or twice a day for at least 15 minutes. Sit or lie comfortably, close your eyes, breathe deeply and slowly. Listen to some relaxation music. No interruptions just focus your attention on your health, happiness and abundance of all you need.
Choose meals and snacks that are kind to your body. These are natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, salads, grains and pulses. These are ‘living’ foods. Avoid foods that are over processed, stored too long, high is sugar or fats. These are ‘dead’ foods with little to offer nutritionally. Variety is also vital, helping you obtain the broad range of nutrients your body requires.

A Balanced Life

When you have the above steps in place it will be a simple matter to use the steps to ensure your life is in balance. Write a list of everything that is important to you. This will include things like time with the family, being with friends, social events, movies, theater, sport - watching or participating, exercise, giving time to the community, time with your god, walking the dog. If you follow these steps you will have a greater chance of achieving your goal.

But if you work with specialty gases, this information is essential. Safety must always be a primary goal when working with specialty gases -safety and knowledge go hand-in-hand.

To improve your chances of preventing hazardous accidents, follow these Top 10 Tips for safely handling and using gas cylinders:

1. Appropriate firefighting, personnel safety and first aid equipment should always be available in case of emergencies. Ensure adequate personnel are trained in the use of this equipment.

2. Obtain a copy of the MSDS for the gases being used. Read the MSDS thoroughly and become familiar with the gas properties and hazards prior to use.

3. Follow all federal, state and local regulations concerning the storage of compressed gas cylinders. Store gas cylinders in a ventilated and well lit area away from combustible materials. Separate gases by type and store in assigned locations that can be readily identified. Store cylinders containing flammable gases separately from oxygen cylinders and other oxidants by a fire-resistant barrier (having a fire-resistance rating of at least 30 minutes) or locate them at least 20 feet apart from each other. Store poison, cryogenic and inert gases separately. If a cylinder’s contents are not clearly identified by the proper cylinder markings labels, do NOT accept for use.

4. Storage areas should be located away from sources of excess heat, open flame or ignition, and not located in closed or sub-surface areas. The area should be dry, cool and well ventilated. Outdoor storage should be above grade, dry and protected from the extremes of weather. While in storage, cylinder valve protection caps MUST be firmly in place.

5. Arrange the cylinder storage area so that old stock is used first. Empty cylinders should be stored separately and identified with clear markings. Return empty cylinders promptly. Some pressure should be left in a depleted cylinder to prevent air suck-back that would allow moisture and contaminants to enter the cylinder

6. Do not apply any heating device that will heat any part of a cylinder above 125F (52C). Overheating can cause the cylinder to rupture. Neither steel nor aluminum cylinder temperatures should be permitted to exceed 125F (52C).

7. Safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes should be worn at all times when handling cylinders. Always move cylinders by hand trucks or carts that are designed for this purpose. During transportation, keep both hands on the cylinder cart and secure cylinders properly to prevent them from falling, dropping or striking each other. Never use a cylinder cart without a chain or transport a gas cylinder without its valve protection cap firmly in place.

8. To begin service from a cylinder, first secure the cylinder and then remove the valve protection cap. Inspect the cylinder valve for damaged threads, dirt, oil or grease. Remove any dust or dirt with a clean cloth. If oil or grease is present on the valve of a cylinder which contains oxygen or another oxidant, do NOT attempt to use it. Such combustible substances in contact with an oxidant are explosive. Always disconnect equipment from the cylinder when not in use and return the cylinder valve protection cap to the cylinder.

9. Be sure all fittings and connection threads meet properly - never force. Dedicate your regulator to a single valve connection even if it is designed for different gases. NEVER cross thread or use adapters between non-mating equipment and cylinders. Use washers only if indicated. Never use pipe dope on pipe threads, turn the threads the wrong way, or use Teflon® tape on the valve threads to prevent leaking

10. When a cylinder is in use, it must be secured with some form of fastener. Floor or wall brackets are ideal for stationary use. Portable bench brackets are recommended for when a cylinder must be moved around. Smaller stands function well for lecture bottle use.

Here are 7 basic fundamentals that will cost you nothing or very little and save you cash for many years to come!

1. Orientation, layout and positioning of your house on the land

Orientate your living areas to the south side of the house, which receives most of the sun throughout the day (north if you live in the southern hemisphere).

2. Insulation and draught proofing

Make sure your walls, roof and floors are insulated and fill any gaps where draughts might come through.

3. Ventilation

Position doors and windows opposite each other to allow for a cooling breeze to flow through the house when the air cool down in the evening of a hot summers day.

4. Windows

Windows on the south side of the house should be bigger to allow more sun to penetrate the house during the day and windows on the north side smaller to prevent heat lost at night.

5. Landscaping

Position trees and plants to direct a cooling breeze into your house, whiles shading it during summer. Plant trees that shed their leave in winter.

6. Shading

Make sure external shading structures are wide enough to block out the sun in summer, whiles still allowing the low winter sun to enter.

7. Thermal mass

Polished concrete, tile or slate floors and brick walls will absorb the heat throughout the day and release it slowly at night, reducing the need to run expensive heaters. Carpet acts as an insulator and will not retain the heat.
