Many people are curious about reading Tarot cards for their friends and family. Once you have a deck of Tarot cards, it is only natural to want to use them with others. After experiencing the insight that Tarot cards can give you, anyone would certainly understand that you would want to share this with the people in your life.

When reading for others, there are some things you’ll want to keep in mind. The purpose of reading for other people is to share your love of the Tarot cards and to offer them some insights, just as you have received them by reading the Tarot cards for yourself. Keeping these tips in mind will help make reading for others in your life go smoothly and make reading fun.

Begin reading for other people you are comfortable around. This may sound like a very logical thing to do, however there are some that will actually do a Tarot reading when someone says to them, “Oh, Tarot? That’s nonsense….well; let’s see what you can do!” This is not the best atmosphere for even a professional Tarot reader to read under, let alone a beginning Tarot reader. Make your first readings for others are ones for family, friends and people who are genuinely interested in the Tarot. Trust your judgment that these be people who are kind and supportive types.

Let the person begin the Tarot reading by proposing a question. Your Tarot reading begins always with the querent giving a question they would like the reading to focus on. Let the person you are reading come up with the question. Sometimes when we read our family and friends, this means that they want to look into some life issue that may seem tiresome to us but is very close to this person’s heart.

When reading for others it is important to respect people’s feelings. Every question should be treated with respect. Most Tarot questions work best if they are simply phrased and to-the-point. The Tarot question is ideal when it focuses on one issue. When the querent wants to ask about an additional issue, suggest you do a second Tarot reading for that question.

What is TV coming to these days? Seriously, its getting pretty crazy, with all the stupid reality TV show. There is reality show for anything now. Seriously, anything. There is Wife Swap. Now this is actually one that is very entertaining for me. You take the two most opposite families in the country, and have them switch wives for a week. It’s great to see the moms battle through the ways other families do things. They almost always end up crying at some point. Its great to see them learn to tolerate other tings and I think that its good for the families to learn to do things in a different way. Then there is all the who wants to marry a millionaire, or a prince, or a rock star, or a rapper, or a hobo. Are you kidding me? All these people actually line up and compete for the affection of somebody who is clear not going to really care about them. If they did they wouldn’t be sleeping and messing around with all the other people on the shows. The relationships usually always end in disaster. If you are the adventure type, you might like the Survivor series. Here you get to see a bunch of yuppies live on a beautiful beach with beautiful people for weeks and weeks. Then when its all over you get a million dollars. Sound like fun. On the Discovery channel, you can see people doing just regular old jobs. Ever wonder what its like to be a taxi driver in the big city, or know what it is like to clean the sewer. No problem, they have a show for that. There is even shows that do nothing more than go into a factory and see how gumballs are made. The best show by far on the Japanese channels. Anything that is dubbed is always better. It wont be long before we getshow that is just like the Running Man. Put some convicts that are on death row in a maze that is filled with trained mercenaries with guns, and have them get hunted. If they make it out alive, they can get out of jail.

DVD recorders are different from digital video recorders (more frequently known as DVRs) in that they tape your favourite freeview nature programs straight onto a removable disc the Digital Versatile Disc) instead of a hard disk device. DVDs now have become an especially functional approach for storing information because of their immense storage ability, longevity, price & simplicity.

Like a video cassette recorder (more frequently known simply as a VCR) the DVD recorder has standard Audio & Video inputs and playback functions. DVD Recorders by and large accept one of these two, often now & then both, although in realistic circumstances they are nearly identical. Recordable discs are inexpensive & recordings work in nearly roughly every player. Digital Versatile Disc recorders with either an analogue and a digital receiver are able to connect to a set top box. Great Deals on Pioneer DVD recorders online at Digital Direct!

Digital Versatile Disc recorders are in the process of a modification, adding a digital ATSC tuner if it has a tuner as directed by the Federal Communications Commission. DVD recorders are swiftly triumphing over from Video Cassette Recorders as the traditional way to store your most wanted television history programmes & movies. With DVD recorders you can view standard DVDs, listen to music CDs and play back your stored discs.

A Digital Versatile Disc recorder uses a laser (usually six hundred & fifty nm red) to read & write Digital Versatile Disc’s. The reading laser is commonly not stronger than 5 mW, nonetheless the writing laser is notably more powerful. DVD recorders when they first come into the electronics market numerous years ago were fairly expensive and the average shopper could afford to buy one. Although in the last number of years they have extensively dwindled in cost and are currently obtainable financially to most people.

If you’ve been promoting your business on the internet you’ve probably heard how important it is to have a list. And that it’s also important to publish an ezine.

So are you publishing and ezine? If not, why? Is it because you are too nervous or lack confidence?

I can understand how you feel. I’ve been there, even though I’m a journalist and published my own niche, non-profit newsletter for a year.

But when I started a home business and realized I needed to write about internet marketing - a subject I was still unfamiliar with - I froze up.

I simply could not think of anything to write about. I felt like I just did not have the experience and the knowledge I needed, because I was still learning.

I started my ezine only when things were really starting to take off and I had learned a good deal of what really worked for me in my business.

In retrospect, I don’t think I’d have done it any differently, but I did learn a few things from my own experience that might make it less painful to start your new ezine.

1. Start With a Script

Writing the first few issues of your ezine is like starting a conversation with a new date.

You’re nervous… you want to make a good impression. Most people will use a few tried and tested formulas to break the ice.

Similarly, when you want to start sending out your ezine, there are a lot of resources out there - tested formulas that experts have used with their own subscribers.

It could be a sales letter, an article, a tip, a template or anything else that you think could get you started with that first issue.

As on a first date, the conversation might be a bit awkward, your sentences may sound stilted. It could be a disaster as far as you’re concerned. So what!

The first few articles I ever wrote make me cringe when I read them today. But I know I needed to write them to start building my own confidence.

Disastrous first dates leave much the same impression on people. But the similarity to dating ends there.

Because in writing an ezine you DO get a second (and third, and fourth…) chance to make an impression.

Your date may never call back, but with your subscribers, you can try again and again till you get it right.

If you do make a mistake (like sending out multiple copies by mistake), admit your mistake and apologize. You’ll find that subscribers, unlike dates, can be quite forgiving.

When new network marketers approach a new prospect, they are always advised to use a script the first few times.

As they gain confidence, the words begin to flow more naturally and they are able to discard the scripts and become better at selling.

It takes time, and more importantly, practice, to get it right. But if you never start, how will you ever find out if you can do it?

2. Write Like You Speak

As you gain confidence in your ability to write and publish an ezine, you’ll begin to get more comfortable with the process of publishing.

Now you might want to start writing your own editorials or tips, to make your ezine more personal and share your expertise in your subject.

To do this, imagine you’re sitting in front of an old friend (or that your subscribers are your friends) and that you’re bringing them up-to-date with what’s been happening in your life.

If you had an experience, good or bad, while promoting your business, that taught you something new, share it with them in the most conversational tone.

Avoid rambling on interminably and leave out boring details that aren’t crucial to what you learnt.

And always go back, read what you’ve written and edit it before you send it out to your list.

3. Keep Learning

There’s no bigger turn off than an editor who knows less than her subscribers. So if you plan to write on a certain topic, make sure you do your homework.

If you’re writing about eBook publishing, subscribe to all the ezines and article lists on that subject and read them to find out what’s happening in that field. Then share the news with your readers.

You could also take some initiative and conduct a survey or two, find out something new about your field and write your own original articles or reports.

4. Speak Your Mind

Once you have established a publishing schedule and have developed a comfortable rapport with your subscribers, don’t be afraid to share your opinion on new developments in your field.

If you have a strong opinion on something, its alright to say so. People feel more comfortable when they know where you’re coming from, even if they don’t always agree.

So what are you waiting for? Send out that first issue and take your business to a whole new level.

Make a date with your list now.

Movie theatres are supposed to be a place where friends and families can come together and enjoy some entertainment. It’s supposed to be a place where you expect the filmmakers and the studios to have done their jobs by filtering out whatever inappropriate elements there may be and target it to the correct audience.

Last Saturday, I took my two children to see Wedding Crashers, thinking that this would be suitable for youngsters. Within the first twenty minutes, I was shocked at how many curses went flying around and how much the filmmakers used sex to get cheap laughs. Granted, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are both good comedic actors, but the film in itself was so vulgar that I had to leave the theatre at once.

The same was true for Meet the Fockers. It seems to me that when Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller come together, they can’t come up with funny enough material and they simply have to retort to using sex and vulgar language to lean on. Many years ago, comedies strictly based the plot on wit and the performances. Less is often more and recently all the comedies that have come out since There’s Something About Mary (Dodgeball, Shallow Hal, Zoolander, etc…) have all be extremely disturbing. As a parent, you don’t know what movies to take your children to anymore. In fact, you even hesitate to take them to the movies at all.

The last few movies that we went to see that were a delight for youngsters and adults alike were mostly animated films. The Incredibles had a strong theme and message that really made it stand apart from any other stand motion picture that comes out these days. Shrek 2 was entertaining but even then, it kept making sexual innuendoes when there really isn’t any necessity for it. The one film that I could recommend that is not animated is a film by the name of Machiavelli Hangman (http://www.hangmanmovie.com). Although you may be thrown off by the title - I know I was - it doesn’t have so much to do with hanging and dying and politics and it does with a young man who is searching to find himself. I was surprised that this Quentin Tarantino-esque film didn’t have the Quentin Tarantino-esque elements I feared. The dialogue was clean and there were not any gratuitous uses of sex or violence. Everything was in its place and those are the films that we need more of.

Films are a reflection of a society and we need to once and for all get in sync with our current filmmakers and really decide who we want to represent our people and culture.
